How does UVC sterilization work?
A UVC LED sterilizer uses ultraviolet (UV-C) light to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms in drinking water. UVC light has a wavelength of 200–280 nm, which is capable of penetrating microbial cells and disrupting their DNA or RNA, preventing them from reproducing and effectively neutralizing them.
When water passes through the UVC sterilization chamber, the high-intensity UVC LEDs emit light that targets pathogens instantly, ensuring that the water is safe to drink. This process is chemical-free, fast, and environmentally friendly, making it an excellent choice for modern water purification systems.
